Delhi NCR, India
The Delhi National Capital Region, or Delhi NCR for short, is a metropolitan area that includes the city of Delhi and its surrounding region, as well as a portion of the nearby states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
The historic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was once the Mughal emperors' home, is one of the top attractions in the Delhi-National Capital Region. Beautiful gardens surround the fort, constructed in the 17th century, and have stunning architecture. It is a vibrant and active region with a rich history, a diverse range of cultures, and a wealth of tourist attractions, making it a well-liked travel destination.
Access via air
As India's capital, New Delhi has excellent air connections to all of the country's major cities. Delhi has both a domestic and an international airport. All of the major Indian cities have frequent flights there.
Access via road
The National Highway and Delhi's extensive road system link it to the country's largest cities.
Access by rail
All of India's major cities, like Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, etc., are connected to Delhi via regular train service.
Climate
The monsoon-influenced humid subtropical and semi-arid climates overlap in Delhi, with significant seasonal differences in summer and winter temperatures and precipitation.
Although they can range from about 25 °C (77 °F) on rainy days to 35-40 °C (95-104 °F) during dry spells, temperatures typically hover around 29 °C (84 °F).
Places to visit in and around Delhi
Lotus (Bahai) Temple
The Lotus Temple represents all humanity's purity, harmony, and oneness. There are nine doors in this temple, one for each of the major world religions, and they all lead to the common prayer hall. This temple, unlike all other religious temples, is accessible to people of all faiths.
Red Fort
One of the Delhi-National Capital Region's most famous and well-liked tourist destinations is the Red Fort, also called Lal Qila. It was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the middle of the eighteenth century and housed the emperors for about 200 years.
The fort is a magnificent example of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The building, which is made of red sandstone, has a moat on three sides and faces the busy Chandni Chowk market on the other.
India Gate
India Gate is one of India's most well-known landmarks and a favorite travel destination. A war memorial in the center of New Delhi was constructed in memory of the Indian soldiers who died in World War I while serving with the British Army. The 42-meter-tall India Gate is an impressive red sandstone and granite building made of red sandstone and granite.
